The Charge
An ambitious medieval short film. When two brothers find a valuable heirloom which could secure their future, they must band together to escape the villainous sheriff or lose that which they cherish most.
OVERVIEW
The Charge is a 15 minute medieval short-film telling the story of two brothers, exploring the conflict between their love for eachother and their desires for something more. Brothers Lewis and Francis are orphans, who know no comforts beyond the company of eachother. But when younger brother Francis finds a valuable artifact - a rare opportunity to escape their lives of squalour and poverty - the brothers are faced with a choice: risk what little they have in pursuit of wealth and comfort, or risk losing the one thing they hold more dear than anything else.
CREATIVE
My role in the production was as the 1st Assistant Director and Producer. I supported the project lead, guided actors and contributors on and off-camera, managed other key department heads and was responsible for 30-40 cast and crew on location. Footage was shot at the Ancient Technology Centre and in woodlands around Dorset.
